Hi, I’m Jane Epstein

Nurse practitioner, sexual health counselor and Menopause Society Certified Provider.

I believe that women should talk about, expect, and realize more pleasure in their sexual lives throughout the lifespan.

From my years as a nurse practitioner working with teenagers, I understand how little sexuality education our youth receive. From interviewing adult women across the country, I know that deficient sex information can impact sexuality for our entire lives.

Midlife women, busy with careers and raising children, can be blindsided and confused by the symptoms of peri-menopause and menopause. These women deserve a safe space to talk about their changing bodies and their sexual relationships and to explore options to address the menopausal transition.

I currently provide sexuality counseling and menopausal medicine at Albuquerque Sex Therapy. And I prescribe HIV PrEP medication and offer other sexual health care at the NM Department of Health.

I received my undergraduate degree from Oberlin College, trained as a nurse practitioner at the Yale School of Nursing, and completed a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine. I am certified in menopausal medicine and am enrolled in the University of Michigan sexuality counselor program.

I have spoken locally, nationally and on the TEDx stage about sexual self-esteem, sexual empowerment and sexual communication, often to other health care professionals. I also taught yoga, including prenatal yoga, for ten years.

My husband and I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico where we raised our two children.
